The Lie: You Should Be Mad (Sermon)
Jan 24, 2022The Lie is that we should be mad…
… at the externals happening around us.
But, when we step back and understand the source of what’s occurring— and why— we see something different, something better, something more “bigger picture.”
In John 10:10, Jesus outlined His purpose as opposed to the devil’s:
- The thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy
- I’ve come that you might have life
We often get angry when things don’t go our way. But, when we realize that God is for us (Romans 8:31), and that He wants to bless us— to give us life…
… it’s easier to step back and grab hold of our emotions.
The damage doesn’t occur because we get angry— it comes because of what we “do next” after we get angry….
